Post by: javajolt on July 31, 2012, 08:59:43 PM
Windows 8 RTM activation keys are now showing up in the Volume License Service Center (VLSC) by Microsoft. The keys also reportedly work on Windows 8 RTM builds. Can this be the sign that Windows 8 RTM release is close?

Canouna on WinUnleaked (http://winunleaked.info/threads/332-Volume-Licensing-Windows-8-Volume-KMS-Volume-MAK-Volume-GVLK-Volume-CSVLK?p=9551&viewfull=1#post9551) confirmed some keys by the members as working ones. This indicates that Microsoft is getting ready to release Windows 8 RTM on the technet from where the OEM’s would be able to download it.

The users who have access to the Volume License Service Center (the main source of downloads and product keys by Microsoft) said that they are now seeing some more keys for Windows 8 which won’t work on current Windows 8 Release Preview. Canouna tested the keys on Windows 8 RTM and confirmed them to be working.

We can expect Windows 8 RTM to be available on the technet anytime as the time frame of early August launch to OEM’s is almost over.

Although, those lucky people have Windows 8 RTM keys but, they will have to get their hands on the Windows 8 RTM iso which Microsoft will surely won’t let happen before official Windows 8 launch.

The next few days are very important for Windows 8 RTM. We will keep you updated with all the latest Windows 8 news and rumors. Stay tuned.
