Post by: javajolt on January 06, 2013, 11:04:24 PM
Windows 8/RT lets you buy/install the apps from Store using your Microsoft accounts and usually the Microsoft account you use on your Windows 8 PC is used to buy the apps from Store but, you can install apps from another Microsoft account without changing the Microsoft account of your Windows 8.

If, you bought/installed an app from Store using a Microsoft account e.g. named as ‘Test1’ but, you aren’t using it on your Windows 8 devices instead, you are using the account named ‘Test2’ then, you can get the apps you bought from ‘Test1’ on the ‘Test2’ PC by just signing in from the other account.

How installing apps from one account to another is useful?

If, you bought an app on your Microsoft account named as Test1 but, you aren’t using it as your primary account on your Windows 8 PC then, you can install the app you bought on ‘Test1’ on ‘Test2’ PC. In this way, you will get the app from the account through which you bought the app on the account which you use on your PC hence, saving you from buying the app again from the other accounts.
