Microsoft has finally unveiled the Surface Pro 3 which is a complete new tablet by Microsoft with a 12-inch screen and lighter and thinner profile. Surface Pro 3 is the successor of current Surface Pro 2 and it also upgrades most of the features.
The successor of Surface Pro 2 and the third generation member of Surface family is larger, faster, thinner and powerful than ever. It has got improvements in all the features.
As you can see in the comparison table above, Surface Pro has got a faster processor with upto Core i7 supported and 8GB RAM as compared to the 4GB in Surface Pro 2.
Surface Pro 2 has got a larger screen of 12-inches as compared to the 10.6-inches in Surface Pro 2. Surface Pro 3 has screen resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels with screen density of 216PPI as compared to the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 208PPI density in Surface Pro 2.

Surface Pro 3 is also lighter and thinner with a weight of 800g and thickness of 9.1mm whereas, Surface Pro 2 weighs 907g and 13.46mm in thickness.
Surface Pro 3 has also got an increased battery life with upto 10-hours of backup promised by Microsoft as compared to the 7.5-hours of Surface Pro 2.
Finally, Surface Pro 3 has got an improved kick stand which gives more ‘lapibility’ with a viewing angle of 150-degress as compared to the 120-degree of Surface Pro 2. Surface Pro 3 has got a USB 3.0 port with 4K support which wasn’t supported by Surface Pro 2.
Surface Pro 3 costs $799 for the Intel Core i3 model with 64GB storage whereas, Surface Pro 2 costs $899 for Core i3 and 64GB model.
Surface Pro 3 is better in everthing whether its power overall look or portability but, is also cheaper. So, are you getting the Surface Pro 3?
