I recently bought a new Microsoft Surface Pro 3 for my daughter. While I have not got much time to play with it yet, when I used it, I did face one difficulty, and that was how to take out a screenshot of the Desktop.
Take screenshots of Surface Desktop

While you can always use Snipping Tool or install some third-party free screen capture software on Surface Pro 3, if you need to take out a screenshot of your Surface desktop natively, do the following:
Press the Fn + Windows + Space key.
That is all you need to do!
Do this, and you will find that the screen may dim a bit for a second or two and then the screenshot you your desktop will be taken and saved in your Pictures\Screenshots user folder.
Surface Pro 3 is a convertible tablet-laptop from Microsoft that currently runs Windows 8.1 and can be upgraded to Windows 10 when the latter hits markets.
While I do plan to cover some Surface tips and articles over a eriod of time, you you need more help with your Surface, Microsoft has made available for download, a Surface Pro 3 User Guide and Surface Pro 3 Quick Start Guide (http://download.microsoft.com/download/E/8/9/E8966106-0FAE-40C1-9823-2EC483AC7CF3/Surface-Pro-3-User-Guide-EN.pdf), to help Surface 3 users quickly familiarize themselves with the new features that the device and the operating system has to offer. You might want to download it.
