The Windows team has just announced the SKU line-up for Windows 7. In the line-up, each SKU is a superset of the previous SKU, unlike with Windows Vista. This means that each higher edition SKU will have every feature lower edition SKUs have. The SKU lineup for Windows 7 is: Windows® 7 Starter, Windows® 7 Home Basic (in Emerging Markets only), Windows® 7 Home Premium, Windows® 7 Professional, Windows® 7 Enterprise and Windows® 7 Ultimate.
Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 Professional looks like the obvious choices for picking up from the shelf depending if you are a home or business user, much like Windows XP’s Home and Professional SKUs. Windows 7 Starter would be offered in the price-sensitive markets, and customers in emerging market will have Windows 7 Home Basic available.

Ultimate includes all Enterprise and all Home Premium features, including multi-language packs.
