Microsoft certainly seems to be setting up some long-terms plans right now! Some new intelligence regarding Windows Redstone is here, via unofficial sources, of course.

Word is that the software titan has charted out a full 24 months schedule to overhaul the Windows operating platform. Things start with the launch of Windows 10 sometimes this summer, and there is already talk of Update 1 for the upcoming operating system.

In addition to this new update planned for late 2015, Redmond is also scoping out the launch dates for Windows Redstone, the next major update for the platform.

Early information about Redstone arrived earlier this month, from multiple sources.

According to some new reports by WZor (http://twitter.com/WZorNET), the famous Russian leaker of Microsoft details, the company now wants to delay the launch of Redstone to October 2016.

While previous rumors hinted at the Redstone update to launch in two phases, one in June or July, and another in October next year, there is a chance that Redmond has settled with the October 2016 date for this particular update.

And prior to that, we will be treated to Windows 10 Update 1, or Windows 10 Autumn Update as some prefer to call it.

One key point of note here is that the Windows Insider program will live on after the launch of Microsoft’s new operating system this summer. And the company plans to make use of that to directly gather feedback from users for these new updates that are now coming into focus.
