Title: Windows 10 Build 10166 Comes With 12 New Icons
Post by: javajolt on July 11, 2015, 01:35:49 AM
Windows 10 build 10166 is now flying off the servers for users enrolled in the Windows Insider program, as Microsoft decided to provide users with at least one more version before RTM.

And it seems that in addition to the bug fixes and performance improvements, the company has also focused on some visual touchups — this version comes with 12 updated icons, showing that Redmond has taken the feedback from users into account in this area.

As reported by BAV0, the new icons are in line with the rest of the pack.

Take a look at them below:

It is clear from the screenshot above that the icons look a little bit more polished and blend in quite well with the refreshed look of Windows 10.

This operating system itself got a lot of visual makeovers, with improvements like a dark theme, transparency and blur effects scattered across the desktop. More may be coming, as Redmond is currently focused on refining the appearance and UI for the new OS.

And considering the fact that this was one of the most requested of changes in Windows 10, Microsoft certainly seems to have received the message.

Expect some more refinements to be introduced by the time Windows 10 RTM hits.
