It’s a preorder, but this is pretty much the right time to purchase Windows 10, as retailers are starting to put the new operating system up at a discount. At least, those that are taking preorders.
Newegg is one of them.
This was, obviously, one of the first retailers to offer Windows 10 when it put it up for preorder, hinting at the pricing ahead of official confirmation from Microsoft.
And the company has now made the OS available for preorder at a healthy discount. The Home version costs only $89.99, while the Pro version of Windows 10 will cost you $129.99. This is substantially down from the base retail prices of $119.99 and $199.99 respectively in the United States.

The discount is only available in for a limited time, and you best hurry up if you want to avail this offer and purchase Windows 10 at discount prices.
Here are the promo codes:
Windows 10 Home discount code: EMCAVKR222
Windows 10 Pro discount code: EMCAVKR223
Do note that Newegg requires you enter the promo code for every purchase you make of the operating system, so if you are in for multiple copies, then make sure to apply it every time.
Retailers in the rest of the world are also expected to put up some promotional prices at least around launch time. Prices, which will, naturally vary by country, depending on factors like taxes, currency conversion rates and all that.
