Microsoft has announced a couple of new extensions for its Edge browser, to go with the new features that the company added to its latest web browsing solution.
And we can thank the newly released Windows 10 build 14926 for Insiders.
The software titan revealed these details after announcing the build, adding in the detail for a new option, as well as two new extensions that are not yet published in the Windows Store, but can be installed via direct links.
In terms of features first, we already know the Snooze option that Redmond has added to Edge.
In addition to that, the browser also gets the ability to export favorites. This can be done by launching the settings panel of Edge, and clicking on the ‘View favorites settings’ option.
As for extensions, Microsoft says that it is currently working with partners to make more extensions available for Edge. There are two new additions to this list, and while these add-ons have been offered to Insiders exclusively, they will be released to everyone very soon:
As explained:
“We have two new releases which we need your help testing and giving feedback on before we publish them to the general public. TamperMonkey is a popular userscript manager that lets users customize the content of pages across the web. Microsoft Personal Shopping Assistant is your smart shopping cart across the web, which collects your browsed products and lets you get price alerts for saved products and compare products between sellers.”
TamperMonkey is definitely a neat addition to the platform, quite similar to Greasemonkey on Firefox.
