Samsung has announced a new range of gaming notebooks at CES.
The Samsung Notebook Odyssey includes a 15 incher arriving in February and a 17 inch model coming April 2017.
The laptops announce their gaming credentials with red backlit keyboards for the 15 inch and multi-colour backlights for the 17 inch mode, which also includes a Beast Mode button above the keyboard that places the device in max performance mode via its Odyssey Control software suite.
The higher end 17 inch device has a 1080P 300 nits Wide-View Angle Anti-Glare display while the 15.6 inch one projects 280 nits, also 1080P Wide-View Angle Anti-Glare and is powered by the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050. Both laptops are powered by quad-core Intel Kaby Lake processors.
For cooling the laptops feature a HexaFlow Vent which via just 3 screws gives users the ability to upgrade RAM or add a faster NVMe SSD.
The 17.3-inch model can accommodate up to 64GB of DDR4 memory and 512GB SSD + 1TB HDD, and the 15.6-inch version up to 32GB RAM and 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD. The Notebook Odyssey 17 also has a USB-C / Thunderbolt 3 port.
The 17.3-inch Notebook Odyssey packs a massive 93Wh battery and weighs 3.79kg / 8.4lb while the 15 inch version 43Wh and 2.53kg

The 15 inch Notebook Odyssey starts at $1,199 while the price for the 17 incher has not been announced yet.
