CES always has a big auto component and we usually see impressive unveilings of car-related products, usually dashboard gear, speaker systems and self driving chips. At CES 2017 we saw a few dashboard tablets being unveiled, by the likes of JVC, Pioneer and Kenwood, to name a few biggies.

Alpine for example introduced Android Auto updates for its 3 in dash displays, like the 8 inch Alpine Restyle X208U system, the 7 inch INE-W977HD AVN system and the iLX-207 audio/video system. Alpine also proposes a 7 inch receiver with CarPlay support, known as the iLX-107 and sporting a WVGA capacitive touchscreen with LED backlight. Prices go around $900.
JVC brought the KW-M730BT in dash unit with Android Auto and a 6.8 inch clear resistive touch panel, as well as a wireless remote control and SiriusXM support. Controlling the rear view cameras is available, plus Bluetooth, CarPlay, a 13 band equalizer and more. The price is $500.

Kenwood showed a new aftermarket Android Auto machine, dubbed DMX7704S, with a resistive screen panel and SiriusXM radio, that requires a separate tuner, as well as Bluetooth and a 13 band equalizer. It works in tandem with the Kenwood iPhone remote app and the dashboard camera of the company. The price is again $500.
Pioneer ends the series, with bundles for the famous NEX aftermarket Android Auto displays, that will be sold with a ND-BC8 universal fit rearview camera (optional). Bundles may include CarPlay-enabled units like tha AVIC-8201NEX at $1300, the AVIC-7201NEX at $1100 and the $900 AVIC-6201NEX.
