A new update is available for users in the Release Preview ring of the Windows Insider program, with expected rollout in the coming weeks after Microsoft completes testing.

The update in question is cumulative update KB3216755.

But as is often the case lately, no KB page for this has been provided. This update does seem to push Windows 10 version number to 14393.726 and is available for both PC and mobile.

Worth a mention that this cumulative update does not bring any new features, and only offers bug fixes and other general performance improvements.

Most likely, this is Microsoft determining whether users experience any bugs or issues during or after installation, as quite a lot users have been hit by various issues caused by cumulative updates in the recent past.

Most complained that patches didn’t even install on their computers.

And this is a way for Redmond to make sure that such problems do not occur with this cumulative update that is first released to Insiders in order to determine if similar problems continue to be experienced or not.

No issues reported right now.

So, Insider enrolled in the Release Preview ring, should be able to download and install it on any device.
