Yesterday AMD revealed the first product based on its highly anticipated “Vega” GPU architecture: Radeon Vega Frontier Edition. AMD claims that Radeon Vega Frontier Edition is the world’s fastest graphics card for machine learning development and advanced visualization workloads.

Radeon Vega Frontier Edition will offer up to 172 percent faster rendering performance than the NVIDIA GeForce Titan XP. Thanks to its advanced GPU memory architecture, Radeon Vega Frontier Edition expands the capacity of traditional GPU memory to 256TB. It is also 33 percent faster than the Nvidia Tesla P100 in the DeepBench benchmark that measures the performance of basic operations involved in training deep neural networks.
