Microsoft is today releasing a new cumulative update for the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. The company is rolling out KB4039396 to users running the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, which brings the build number up to 14393.1670.

This is the second cumulative update for the Windows 10 Anniversary Update of this month, as Microsoft released build 14393.1613 earlier. Build 14393.1613 included a couple of known issues as we noted in our article, and today’s update addresses those.

Here’s the changelog:

► Addressed issue where Update History and hidden updates are lost and a full scan for updates happen after installing OS Updates 14393.1532 through 14393.1613, including KB4034658. Installing this update will not restore past update history or hidden updates for users who have already installed the listed updates. However, this current update will address this issue for users who have not yet installed them.

► Addressed the issue with WSUS update metadata processing that can cause some clients to time out with a 0x8024401c error.

Windows 10 Anniversary Update users can get the new update by heading over to
Windows Update, as per usual.
