The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 just arrived, as a concept of course, proposed by the folks of Techconfigurations. We’re dealing with a 95% screen to body ratio device, one that keeps the bulk of the format from Note 8, so a big and narrow machine at the same time.

The screen to body ratio is amazing and if real, it would leave zero room for earpiece and front camera. Somehow those do make the cut on this model, although I see that the uninspired decision about the fingerprint scanner placement was also kept (or maybe it’s just a pulse scanner). I would rather see it embedded in the screen or ditched for a sort of Face ID rival. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 packs a 6.5 inch AMOLED screen, 4 or 6 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 845 processor.

It also relies on a dual 12 MP   12 MP camera with Samsung’s ISOCELL dual sensor in the mix. There’s also a front 8 MP camera with a Retina 3D Scanner for face recognition. The body is made of metal and also includes a Gorilla Glass 5 panel at the back. The whole device is water and dust proof within the IP68 standard. Interestingly there’s no mention of the S Pen evolution, although that should also be part of the package.

In many ways, this feels like a Note 8s, rather than a Note 9. In reality I expect we won’t see a fingerprint scanner, that screen to body ratio would be bigger and the resolution would jump to 4K. Some sort of Super Slow Motion feature could also be here.
