Microsoft's Surface Laptop became available on June 15, but in four months, it never received a firmware update. That streak ends today though, as the company has released a batch of firmware and driver updates for the device.

Here's the full changelog:

The most notable changes are probably that support for Windows Mixed Reality is added, but that's certainly not all that there is to the update. According to Microsoft's value indicator chart, these updates include improvements for reliability, connectivity, compatibility, performance, and battery life. The only thing that they don't affect is security.

As always, you can download these updates by going to Settings -> Updates & security -> Windows Update -> Check for updates. If you'd like, you can also manually install them by downloading them here (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=55489).
