Hello :) I'm just a guy that wants to upgrade from windows 98SE a computer that's about 600MHz celeron 256mb ram and a 30GB HDD. The way things are looking I'm going to have to upgrade to Vista first before I can upgrade to Se7en, but I'm getting a whole new PC for this so when the time comes upgrading will be easier. I will be happy when after it comes out I'll have windows 7 as an OS but I'll have to get Vista first.
I'll be happy with a new computer and not having win98 anymore or an old PC.

Welcome to the forum!
You can purchase Vista then purchase 7 later at upgrade cost but it might be more cost effective to wait til 7 is released and purchase the full 7 install disc. This should work for you, and also if you are purchasing a new pc with Vista preloaded on it, you can wait to purchase until after July 1, 2009 and you will receive a free upgrade to the corresponding Windows 7 version to the preloaded Vista version (i.e. Vista Home Premium-to-7 Home Premium)
Anyways, if you have any questions just ask and we will answer
