Title: Microsoft closes Technical Preview Program for Office 2010
Post by: Samtastic on October 27, 2009, 02:21:30 PM
In a surprise move, Microsoft this weekend sent an e-mail to testers announcing that it would soon be closing the Office 2010 Technical Preview Program on Microsoft Connect. Earlier this week, the software giant confirmed that public betas of Office 2010, Project 2010, Visio 2010, and SharePoint Server 2010 would be arriving in November 2009.

Didn't they do this for Windows 7 too?  I heard from somebody they just redirected everyone to the public betas on their main servers.

I don't know about that, but the public beta of office 2010 will be avaliable at the Microsoft Office 2010 site during November, then a Release Candidate, then the final version. I'm currently in a TextAloud 3.0 beta testing program It took Nextup a lot of time to make it since TextAloud 2 was released. The latest beta build is beta 100 and Jim told me he will e-mail me the release date when it's set.
