Title: How To Enable or Disable Aero Snap

Aero Snap is a wonderful feature of Windows 7 and may provide excellent results and return from the public but some may still wish to disable it or turn it off.  When doing so you have 3 options; you can turn it off via the Ease of Access center in Control Panel, via a simple download, or manually via the registry(!!!recommended for expert users only!!!)

Option One: Via the Ease of Access Center
1. Open the Control Panel (All Items View), and click on the Ease of Access Center icon.

2. Click on either the "Make the mouse easier to use", "Make the keyboard easier to use", or "Make it easier to focus on tasks" link.

3. To Turn On Aero Snap -
       A) Uncheck the Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edged of the screen box.

       B) Go to step 5.

4. To Turn Off Aero Snap -
       A) Check the Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edged of the screen box.

5. Click on OK.
 
6. Close the Ease of Access Center window.

Option Two: Via a Simple Download
1. To Enable Aero Snap -
       A) Visit this link- Enable Aero Snap (http://files.filefront.com/Enabled+Aero+Snapzip/;13491377;/fileinfo.html)to download the
           Enabled_Aero_Snap.zip file.


       B) Go to step 3.

2. To Disable Aero Snap -
       A) Visit this link- Disable Aero Snap (http://files.filefront.com/Disabled+Aero+Snapzip/;13491378;/fileinfo.html) to download the
           Disabled_Aero_Snap.zip file.


3. Click on Save, and save the .zip file to the desktop.

4. Open the .zip file and extract the .reg file to the desktop.

5. Right click the .reg file (On Desktop) and click on Merge.

6. Click on Run, Yes, and OK when prompted.

7. Log off and log on, or restart the computer.

8. When done, you can delete the downloaded .reg and .zip files on the desktop if you like.

Option Three: Manually Via the Registry
1. Open the Start Menu.

2. In the search box, type regedit and press Enter.

3. In regedit, go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

4. In the right pane, right click on WindowArrangementActive and click on Modify.

5. To Enable Aero Snap -
       A) Type in 1 and click on OK.

       B) Go to step 7.

6. To Disable Aero Snap -
       A) Type in 0 (number) and click on OK.


7. Close regedit.

8. Log off and log on, or restart the computer.
