Post by: riso on February 20, 2009, 08:07:28 AM
This Windows tweaktool is originally Vista made but performs 100% in Windows 7.
Almost all to tune, tweak, adjust etc.
This is Freeware.
Thanks to WinVistaClub.

Tested by me on W7 6801, 6956 and 7000

MZ Vista Force is very comprehensive tweaking software and freeware

http://majorgeeks.com/Mz_Vista_Force_d5717.html

SetteMaxer is a freeware tool that can help you to optimize and solve problems in some fields of Windows 7 easily, instead of navigating on registry & services that causes time loss and possibly some mistakes.

Let’s see what all you can tweak in windows 7 with SetteMaxer

Sorry riso, I know this carries your 100% recommendation, so in my opinion it must be good.
But... umm... what is it, please  :-/

Hey thanks! I like easily swapping the UxTheme Patcher, and I really like the WMP backgrounds. Wish they had backgrounds for open windows too...

Riso,

Using this with 7057 x64 .... this is the error I received.

This happens whenever I select "apply".

It looks like You're not running the prog as Admin.? did You installed a tool called ''Take ownership" ??
Because it seems that You don't get acces to the registry.
More on this to follow, need some time to sort things out on this matter.

maybe you have an application that blocks access to modify registry (firewall , antivirus) or if you have a tool for registry scan ( optimization , errrors , defrag ) that tool is not fully supported and broke the registry ( try TuneUp Utilities 2009 or VitRegistry Fix 9.3) .
if you have a back-up restore your system .
try to run the application in compatibility mode for vista as administrator.

Psyko ... It's a clean install. Nod32 was disabled. Same result. I'm using O&O defrag, but that was installed after initial problem.

I have a laptop I can try it on after I do a new install. The laptop is running 7000 x32. The Tweaktool works fine on that.

I'll try it on the laptop after I move to 7057.

Thanks for the thought...

Just finished an install of 7057 x32 on my netbook. Tweaktool works fine.

May just be the 64bit.
