Instead of making 2 sites why don't you get a domain name like windowsnews.com or something similar and direct both sites to that, with separate sections on the forum for 7, 8 and guess what when they make 9 you don't have to get another new site.

The windowsnews.com domain was already registered, and we wanted nothing that would infringe on or relate to that domain or web address. Having the windows7newsinfo domain registered already, it was a smart move to register windows8newsinfo keeping that name under our existing umbrella so to speak. There was a short period we did and still do have a small catagory containing Windows 8 news and information. As information on Windows 8 kept being leaked in the wild Riso and I could no longer sit idly by and contain this information to windows7newsinfo knowing it needed to be further dispersed via our newly registered domain name. The reasoning behind two (2) websites is a simple one. Windows 7 is one entity being coded in one location and windows 8 is a separate entity again being coded in a separate location. I do hope this helps clear up any misunderstandings pertaining to the whys and hows of craeting something this important and exciting. Thanks...javajolt

As we started getting more releases and leaks out of Microsoft, and other Technology Publications covering Windows 8, it became very apparent that another site was needed. Although windows8news had been, taken continuous checks revealed, no information concerning Windows 8 had been posted. Windows7newsinfo was already registered, up and running, therefore the next logical step was to register windows8newsinfo domain. At this point it became imperative that windows8newsinfo get online and be the first website covering Microsoft's next Operating System.
We wanted as much separation as possible from the other named sites since they are loaded with Spammers, Porn, and Advertisements. When Riso our System Administrator ask me 5 months ago to assist him, my #1 job was to Help accomplish his desire to keep W7NI FREE of Spammers, Porn, and Advertisements and of course I agreed. Today that is still Job 1 not only for Riso, but me and our entire staff. That philosophy was to be carried over to windows8newsinfo and remains Job 1 to this day.
As we moved ever closer to a second site, and knowing we both had amassed enough information and coverage to get W8NI up and running it became a reality. Riso and I are both savvy enough to know that Windows 8 will start fading into the background of many people’s minds as Microsoft starts to get tight lipped on what is going on, but we will stay on top of it and do our absolute best to keep you our members and the guests that stop by informed.
Riso and I have both worked long hours into the night transferring W7NI members to W8NI, and making W8NI new members, members at W7NI keeping their respective usernames and passwords. The fight against Spam, Porno and Advertisements is a never ending battle, but one we will fight for You our Members.
I hope all of you will join me in a big word of thanks to Riso for making both boards possible, and ALL of You will continue to Read, Post and Interact on both forums.
