Google Gesture Search lets you search your contacts, bookmarks, music, applications, and other items by drawing letters on the screen with your finger. If you have a few hundred contacts in your address book, it’s much easier to find a contact and dial a phone number using Gesture Search than the default contact manager.
The only problem was that up until today, Gesture Search was only available in the US, and only available for devices running Android 2.0 or 2.1.
But today Google eased both of those restrictions. You can now download and install Gesture Search from the Android Market in any country. And the application supports all Android 1.6 or newer devices.
There’s still no Gesture Search app for Android 1.5. And the program only recognizes English character input.
