I am javajolt and from San Francisco (the Heart of the Silicon Valley), California and have had Windows 7 for approx. 1 month now and would have Gladly paid for it on the 2nd day I used it.
As a Computer Architect, I have Upgraded (not according to MS) many New Desktops and Laptops to XP Pro from Vista of All versions, and when building new systems for clients always install XP. With the Introduction of Win7 and liking it as much as I do, now I have to start selling it to my many clients.
I am running 3 computers, my primary has XP Pro installed, the most perfect OS MS has ever written. My secondary computer has (Please don't flame me for this) Vista Ultimate on it. I got Vista in Jan, 2006 and hated it from day one. I was given the Retail version of Ultimate for my B-day in 2007, and after spending about $350.00US (more RAM, and New Video Card) on my second computer finally installed the OS.
With the release of SP1 Vista all versions improved tremendously, but was still a resource hog. I still don't like it but have it. I currently watch TV on this computer since it is in my office at home.
My 3rd computer is a HP DV9700t 17" laptop Core2Duo 2.5GHz, Nvidia Graphic Card 512MB DDR3, 4GB PC2-6700 RAM, 500GB 7200rpm HDD. This laptop of course came installed with Vista Home preminum on a 250GB 5400rpm HDD which I have removed and stored in the box. I installed the 320GB HDD and then installed Win7 x64 on that.
From the first reboot into Win7, it was virtually "Love At First Sight" the spinning Windows graphic balls morphing into the Windows Logo did it then and there. ALL the drivers for my laptop were installed with only one exception and that was the Fingerprint Reader and that is No Big Deal at this time.
I have already shown Win7 to several hundred people since I take my laptop every where, and especially in the Coffee houses here in San Francisco, and the reception has been an overwhelming approval.

hey is the 64bit win 7 better than 32bit or same

Sorry for the delay in responding. Yes 64bit is the way everything will be going in the future.
Miscrosoft has made it clear after this W7 release there will be no support for 32 bit (x86) except for developing countries.
