With each new release of Windows consumer interest and computer manufacturers, quite naturally, shifted to the latest version of the operating system. As a rule, it allows without difficulty to complete the life cycle of outdated software platform. The exception, perhaps, is only a platform Windows XP, and now remains far more popular than Windows Vista.
However there are cases when old and new versions of Windows long enough to overlap in terms of accessibility to the market and this period may last from several months to several years (as is the case with the same Windows XP). In this context, it may happen that Windows 7 and the new operating system Windows 8, the development of which has already started, will overlap for two years. At the same time in the retail boxed copies of Windows 7 will continue until mid 2013.
