The iPhone Dev Team (Comex) has just unveiled a new jailbreak tool for all iOS devices. What is interesting about the new tool is that it is working over the browser. Users can just go to
www.jailbreakme.com using Mobile Safari on their iOS device and start the process. According to the developers, users can reverse the process at anytime. “If you ever decide that you want to remove your jailbreak, just connect your device to your computer, sync, and then press Restore in iTunes,” the instructions read. This new method is not compatible with iOS 4.1.beta. A demonstration video of how simple the process is can be found below.
Jailbreaking is a process that allows iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch users to run third-party unsigned code on their devices by unlocking the operating system and allowing the user root access. Once jailbroken, iPhone users are able to download many extensions and themes previously unavailable through the App Store via unofficial installers such as Cydia.
