A new video surfaced the web today of what it looks like a production White iPhone 4 unit. The person recording the video says he is located in Ontario Canada. This may be an international model scrapped by Apple at the last minute after defects in the white color clarity were found. The White iPhone 4 on the video is jailbreaked and connected to Rogers network in Canada. The video can be found below.
At the end of July, a report suggested that the major issue with White iPhone 4 manufacturing was “leaking light around the edges”. A new report on Aug 2 suggested that manufacturing issues resolved and Apple would start production of White iPhone 4 units. Apple announced the delay of iPhone 4 devices back in June saying that “White models of Apple’s new iPhone 4 have proven more challenging to manufacture than expected, and as a result they will not be available until the second half of July”. Then, in July, a second announcement came saying that White iPhone 4 devices will not be available until “later this year”.
