Not to long ago the news reported Steve Ballmer, was dedicated to Tablet PC's running Windows. The head of the Redmond company has stated a Windows 7 Tablet will be available for the Christmas holidays, without specifying, however, that this will be a model and who would become their producer.

Note that the Windows 7 operating system in its present state is touch functional in principle and can work on the Tablet PC. However, its user interface is not quite adapted specifically for finger input, making it difficult to use this operating system in this rapidly expanding market segment. Producers of tablets based on Windows 7 have created additional software shells, like TouchSmart from HP, and UI Centric's Macallan which naturally affects the pace of development of Windows Tablet and its cost.

Soon, however, the situation could change for the better. Renowned expert on All Things Microsoft Mary Jo Foley with ZDNet thinks that Redmond might possibly be working on its own shell program for Windows 7, presumably optimized specifically for use on Tablet PC's. And, as a basis for such a "secondary user interface" can be used with Windows Media Center.

Mary Jo Foley recalls an article in which British blogger Mark Wilson, where Steve Ballmer said of Microsoft and its partners over the hardware-software optimizations related to Windows 7 and Windows 7 Media Center. In addition, Steve Ballmer confirmed that until Windows 8 is released in 2012, Microsoft will not release another version of Windows. In other words, Microsoft still intends to use Windows 7 on tablets, even more recycled.
