Boot Up

The Chrome Cr-48 test computer took just 14 seconds to start up.
Start Setup

Setup is a simple four-step process. First, you select your language and Wi-Fi network.
Enter Wi-Fi Password

You can enter a password for a protected Wi-Fi router here.
Agree to License

Step two of getting started is to read the user license agreement. Oh, and to agree to it.
Take Your Picture

Next you sign into your Gmail or Google account. There is also the option to take a user picture using the machine's built-in webcam.
Get Started

Your first look at the operating system on the Cr-48 test machine will be of this help page. It is always accessible from your New Tab page, which acts as the home for your installed web apps.
New Tab Page

The New Tab page is pretty much your home in Chrome OS. It's where your installed web apps live, and is synced to your other Chrome machines. Also note the small window in the lower right part of the screen. You can access this by Ctrl-O, and it shows any files you've downloaded from web sites.
Chrome Web Store

Here's where you find, possibly purchase, and "install" web apps
Install App

Clicking Install makes a web app available on your New Tab page.
Scratchpad

One of the few utilities included with Chrome OS, the scratchpad lets you write notes in a small window that stays on top of any web pages you open. You can format and save them for offline viewing. They'll also be synced to your other Chrome computers.
Setup Google Cloud Print

The first time you go to print a page, you'll be greeted by this informative dialog.
Print With Google Cloud Print

Once you've set up printers, choosing Print from Chrome's wrench menu will result in a dialog like this.
Video Chat in Gmail

When you use Gmail's chat feature, its small window will stay on top of your other browsing
Save File

When you download a file from the web, you'll get a dialog like this.
Open File

It's not what it sounds like: You see this when you attach a file to an e-mail or transfer by IM. But Chrome can't open most file formats directly.
