After the mega success of their first iOS release, Skyfire has finally gotten the go ahead from Apple. So as of 5pm PST Skyfire for iPad is available for download.
We all know about the problems Skyfire Labs had back in November when they released the iPhone version. The demand on the Skyfire video transcoding servers was so high, the company was forced to pull the app almost immediately.
You can expect all the same goodies to be in this release, that are in the iPhone version. zThere is one big difference in this version, you get to use it and browse the web on a beautiful 9.7 inch iPad screen!
For those of you that are wondering if it play Flash, I can tell you first hand it does. It’s a bit slow to load, but you can view Flash videos. Don’t expect Hulu to work, cause as we all know Hulu doesn’t allow it. Instead there are tons of other good video sites out there that do work.
Here is a rundown of what Skyfire for iPad has to offer:
Flash Video
Facebook & Twitter QuickView
Fireplace Feed Reader
Popular Content

I just got my hands on the app late tonight, so after I play around with it for a bit, I should have a review and my opinion on the release sometime tomorrow morning. In the mean time for those of you that can’t wait, you can head over to the iTunes App Store and download it now for $4.99.
