Microsoft will start Tuesday several updates to Windows 7 via the update functionality of the new operating system.
The updates are designed for the operation of the distribution system to be tested.
From February 24 will be the beta version of Windows 7, build number 7000, a number of updates available.
The updates are not automatically installed, the installation will be started by the user.
Microsoft is planning to spread up to five updates in this way.
Test updates will be marked as a test and will therefore not resolve bugs, there are only will be a few system files with identical files overwritten.
With the updates Microsoft Windows Update system for Windows 7 would test in order to ensure that future updates can be also spread for real.
Optionally, a user can choose to test the updates to install or not to install them.
It's expected that a public release candidate to be released in April, but a selected group of test users, so-called Most Valuable Professionals have probably RC1 available at a earlier stage.
