Microsoft is flirting with the idea of offering its upcoming Windows 7 operating system on USB flash drives, enabling upgrades to be made easier for machines without optical drives. Sounds pretty good to us, but it still remains to be seen whether this move, if mooted, will involve copy protection of sorts beyond a CD key.
Of course, there are still other options available which might involve downloads as with Windows Vista, while one could always visit retailers such as Best Buy where there are technicians available to perform the upgrade ( who would pay a fortune to have these morons perform this task). Whatever it is, to have an OS released on a USB flash drive is definitely revolutionary, although it might increase the cost a wee bit.
