How to Update apps in windows 8
« on: March 22, 2012, 04:38:26 PM »
Microsoft released a few updates for Windows 8 Consumer Preview apps and also its apps which are pre-installed. Windows 8 Store has some fantastic apps and no doubt you will quickly build up a great collection of tools, work and fun apps, so If you haven’t yet updated your Windows 8 CP, I can tell you updates are now available for Mail, Calendar, People, Messaging, SkyDrive and Photos Apps in Windows 8 Consumer Preview. Some bugs have been fixed in theses updates.

From start screen  go to the Store by clicking the Store App

When the Windows 8 app store appears it shows highlighted items, top paid and free and so on. In the top right corner of the screen is Updates and in this case you can see that there are five. Whenever you visit the store, look for updates here.

If you don’t want to updated an app, click it to remove the checkmark in the upper right corner of each.

At the bottom, click Install

To check the version installed on your computer, open the app > open the Charm bar (By moving the mouse cursor to bottom right corner) and click on Settings and Select About/Permissions to display the app version you have installed on your computer.
