Windows 8 is still to be launched on October 26 and the news about the successor of Windows 8 is already coming. We already know that Microsoft’s next OS Windows 9 or you may call it Windows Blue or Windows vNext would be launched earlier than the 3 year time period but, now Microsoft’s representative
has confirmed that the software giant is already working on the successor of Windows 8 called Windows 9.
Microsoft’s head of technology for partners, James Akrigg has confirmed during the Misco Expo 12 in the United Kingdom that the work on Windows 9 has already started.
He said:
It should just work. I’m not going to say we’re going to do it [reach perfection] with Windows 8 because we’re already working on Windows 9.
Some Microsoft employee profiles showed that they are working on Windows 9 and we also saw some leaks which suggested that Microsoft is creating internal builds of Windows 8 post-RTM to fix bugs and other issues. While other reports claimed that the next OS by Microsoft would be an update to current Windows 8 not full version.
Now, with the official launch of Windows 8 near, we are also hearing about next Windows version. It’s about time and we will see the official announcement by Microsoft regarding next OS but, until then, we can wait for the Windows 8.
