Speculation about Windows 9 already becomes a topic of discussion on forums, and it says that it will already be available somewhere at the end of this year.Windows 9 will be the next major operating system from Microsoft. The need of it, according to company officials, is to convince Windows XP and Windows 7 users to abandon older version. Windows 8 has failed to fulfill this task, at least not as good as they hoped. Some states already that we will see Windows 9 beta somewhere in May and the RTM version is expected for the end of October. Speculation approaches of what the former CEO, Steve Ballmer said at BUILD conference in June 2013.

Accelerating release cycle can have both negative and positive effects for consumers. First, changes to an operating system to another will be smaller, less complete, but it could end up costing much less to be adopted soon by users.
My opinion is: major release of the MS operating system we all expect will arrive sooner than expected and is likely to not follow the traditional numbered as before, but will carry a different name. Then another reference by O’Brien should give us serious thought. “People greatly underestimate .x versions” – refers of course to update. Thus we can expect either to one or more major updates in the near future even as the next major release to be much different. But abandoning the current Modern UI interface looks unlikely. Rather we need to look at changes to traditional interface.
