On Thursday 16 October 2014, Apple held a special event to announce the rest of their updates for 2014.

The first thing they announced was iOS 8.1, Apple Pay and the final release of OS X Yosemite. iOS 8.1 will be released on Octoober 20th. OS X Yosemite was released on the day of the event.

After the software announcements, they moved onto the hardware announcements. The first thing they announced was that the Apple Watch will be released in Early 2015. Then Tim Cook asked Phil Schiller to come up on stage to talk about the new version of the iPad 2 called iPad Air 2.

After the announcement of the iPad Air 2, they announced the new 27 inch Retina iMac which has a starting cost of £1900 in the UK.
