March madness. This month was always going to be a busy one for Microsoft, both for Windows 10 and Windows 10 for Phones. A couple of high-profile events are scheduled for this month.
The biggest, by far, of the two is the MWC 2015 in Barcelona for mobile. And then there’s also the small matter of the gaming focused GDC 2015, where Microsoft (along with hardware and software) partners are set to talk about gaming on Windows and the upcoming DirectX 12.
Anyway, Redmond showed some new stuff at their MWC keynote.
The folks over at Neowin managed to grab a few screenshots from the stream, showing not just a new icon for the Spartan browser, but also some updates to the messaging application.
Take a look at them below:

Nothing revolutionary. In fact, the icon on the browser tile may just be a placeholder for the time being.
And as for the messaging app, the chat section shows a similar look and feel to the standard style that the company has adopted for its other platforms — including Skype. Rounded chat heads are also in, similar to how the profile picture currently looks on the Windows 10 Start Screen.
Basically, the various applications now share UI similarities, which span across not just individual apps in general but Windows 10 and Windows 10 for Phones in overall.
Convergence be the name of the game here.
