With the release of their shiny new operating system, you didn’t think Microsoft would leave developers high and dry, do you? Windows 10 SDK has been released by the software titan.
And the final bits are now available for download.
For those of you hearing the words SDK for the first time, this is a software development kit that can help create software for a given platform — in this case, those glorious Windows 10 apps that are now available on the new Windows Store.
Redmond has also put up a special page that has all the necessary items a Windows developer want, along with a range of helpful resources for those that want to dive in coding.
You can access that
here.
The said, nice to see Microsoft being a fair bit proactive this time around with Windows 10.
One of the biggest concerns users had with Windows 8 was the lack of apps for that modern operating platform. And once they started coming, the necessary level of quality took a lot of time to materialize, particularly from big name developers.
With the positive reception Windows 10 has received from almost all circles, Microsoft would be hoping that this channels through to developers too, and that the Windows Store finally takes off.
As it ought to.
