Microsoft Agrees To Provide Windows 10 Update Details
« on: November 02, 2015, 09:10:08 PM »
Perfect timing for a change of heart. The past few months have been a bit hard for users that want complete Windows 10 update details, the full changelogs of what each release brings.

Microsoft, of course, had decided otherwise.

The result being that almost all the updates released for the operating system included short mentions of improvements and performance optimizations — not the complete details of what each update changes in Windows 10.

In fact, many users actually criticized the company for this sudden change in direction, more so because some of these updates caused more harm than good on some hardware.

Anyway, Redmond seems to have received the message.

Fortunately.

Windows boss Terry Myerson confirmed that the software giant is now working to change this approach, and will now provide users with information on the Windows 10 updates it ships:

Quote
“As an example of direct response to feedback we’ve received, we will be improving our documentation of what has changed within any individual update, and improving scheduling options for when updates are installed. This collaboration with Insiders is invaluable to our team, and we continue to welcome anyone who wants to work with us on the future of Windows 10.”

He has called this change a direct response to consumer feedback.

All is well that ends in a well, some say!

With Threshold 2 just around the corner, this was about as good a time as any that Microsoft could have chosen to start providing details of the updates to users. Hopefully we find out all there is to know about what kind of changes the upcoming November Update brings to the platform.
