iPad 2 is Equipped With the Same Camera as the iPod Touch
« on: January 23, 2011, 07:18:40 PM »

Here's a bit of disappointing news. It seems that the iPad 2 may be equipped with a 1 megapixel camera. That's the same camera on the iPod Touch, and not nearly as sharp as the iPhone 4's 5MP camera that we've grown to love.

Of course some may also be asking why the iPad 2 needs a camera in the first place, after all, it's not something you'd want to carry around snapping photos with. Is it? Who knows. Still, if Apple is adding in a camera, they should definitely aim a little higher than that.

The good news is that it will still be able to shoot video at 720p. Again, we don't know how practical it is to take pictures or video with something the size of the iPad.

According to 9to5Mac, a reliable source has told them that K94 and K95 are actually codenames for the next-generation of iPad. Below you can see K95, along with the names of the Apps built within, such as Mobile Safari, Mobile Address Book, Photo Booth (which we learned a while back is going to be added to iOS 4.3) and more.

We also learned a few things about iOS 4.3, you can read up on those updates to get caught up on what's going to be new in the system.
