Both are just as threatening as any other Trojan. Name of these recently discovered Trojans are Android.Tonclank and Android.Lightdd, both of the Trojans are designed to steal information from all Android devices. These Trojans are also capable of opening backdoor for for you’re your phone and they may also accept some of the commands to perform some malicious activities.
Now let me tell you why these Trojan.Tonclank and Trojan.Lightdd are threatening? Yes, both Trojans can easily collect basic information of your phone, including: Device ID and Device permissions, this information is then send to some predefined unknown locations.
Now lets see the actions performed by these Trojans, first we will analyze the actions performed by Android.Tonclank. So Android.Tonclank is able to perform the following actions: it can easily copy all bookmarks, history and shortcuts on your phone. It then creates a log of all of the activities performed it then modifies the browser home page and finally it is also able to return the status of the last executed command.
Now lets see from where Android.Tonclank comes to your device? It is manually installed from Android’s MarketPlace by downloading an app Favorite Games Backup. This downloaded app can easily run malicious code in the background, then it downloads one more .jar file.
Now coming towards the threats of
Android.Lightdd, this one is also a latest Trojan targeting Android users. It monitors the phone and it can easily send your device’s information to some unknown location. Android.Lightdd can register the following services on your device:
