Using BlueStacks Android App Player

BlueStacks Android app player let’s you run all the Android apps right in your Windows 8 Consumer Preview PC. Being in the beta version, BlueStacks Beta supports almost all the 400,000+ Android apps available in market.
This tutorial would show how to install BlueStacks Beta in Windows 8 Consumer Preview PC to enjoy all the Android apps right in your Windows 8 PC.
Let’s take a look at the features of BlueStacks before going to the tutorial:

Now, let’s go the installation process of BlueStacks in your Windows 8 PC.
Requirements for installation:
1. You must have at-least 300MB’s of free hard drive space in your Windows installation partition which is normally C:
2. Your graphics card must support open GL. Similarly, your graphics card must have at-least 256 MB of graphics acceleration (all latest machines have this acceleration)
3. Patience for installation
Instructions:
• First of all download the BlueStacks installation source which can be downloaded from here. (Don’t download the file which start’s downloading automatically because, that’s the download manager which takes a lot of times (ten times more). Instead, download the alternate .exe download manager which can be downloaded from the second link on the download page of BlueStacks or by clicking here
• After downloading has finished, open up the .exe file and go through the installation process which is similar to all other installations. You may be asked for permission so, give the permission.
• At the end of installation process few minutes later, you would see the BlueStacks dock on the top of your screen. That’s where the main controls of BlueStacks can be found. You would also see a BlueStacks icon at the notifications bar of your taskbar.

• Then, your BlueStacks would open for the first time but, the installer would remain open. Don’t panic it would soon close.
• Let the setup do the configuration and then, you would be asked for language selection.

• Press ‘Next’ to go to the language selection menu in your BlueStacks window (the overall interface of the BlueStacks in same as on Android phones. Isn’t it?).
• Press the desired language just like you would tap on your Android phone. You would be taken to the next step.

• Now, you have the choice to the sync everything from your Android Phone to your BlueStacks Android App player in Windows 8. Select ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and press ‘next’.

• Next, you would be asked for your email and phone number if you chose to sync your Android phone with BlueStacks. After entering the required fields, press ‘next’.

• You are done, press ‘close’ and you are ready to run Android app in your Windows 8 PC.

• By default, no apps are installed but, you can download the popular apps by clicking the the popular downloads button on the BlueStacks dock and clicking the app would start its download and it would run after installation.
