Leaked Windows 10 Screenshots Show New Multitasking Options
« on: March 10, 2015, 03:57:32 AM »

Business sure has picked up when it comes to leaked Windows 10 screenshots, and we’ve been getting a whole bunch of them every few days, showing new facets of the upcoming OS.

Just yesterday we got a bunch from Windows 10 build 10031.

The images confirm one thing — that Microsoft is keen on overhauling nearly all aspects of its operating system. Two areas in particular, the Start Menu and the PC settings screen, which is being pegged to replace the traditional Control Panel completely sometimes in the future.

These two new screenshots that surfaced today show several new configuration settings, as well as renaming of the sections, ultimately making more sense in terms of organization and usability.

See for yourself:

Tablet mode is enhanced with new options here, and while some of these were present in build 9926, in build 10031 you can configure how it works when your device tries to switch modes.

Several other desktop options are also provided, including the ability to configure the Alt + Tab behavior, and configure Windows 10 to show windows that open either on all desktops or only one where the application is running.

Deep stuff, as the additional desktop option is a key new addition to the operating system.

Microsoft is sure to refine these settings further, but this much is certain that the company really wants to provide as much control as possible in the Settings screen on Windows 10.
