According to WZor, that is. The famed Russian leaker of Microsoft information suggests making preparation for Windows 10 Autumn Update builds, as they are set for arrival in the very near future.
That Microsoft only has two more builds planned before RTM is not new.
We reported on this earlier this month.
However, the software titan is currently readying a new Windows 10 build for Fast ring users, which reports suggest is build 10122. Wzor, however, believes this could be the final version released to Windows Insiders before the operating system hits the RTM milestone.
There have also been reports of Windows 10 build 10215, which apparently is being tested by internal Microsoft employees.
WZor is claiming that either of these could be the final versions released of the base operating system, and the software titan will switch primary development to the first update to the OS.
Which, many believe is labeled Windows 10 Autumn Update.
It’s not clear whether Redmond plans to use this name or not, but new updates for Windows 10 are reportedly planned, and with talk that Microsoft will continue the Windows Insider program after the operating system hits RTM, there may yet be some truth to what WZor is suggesting.
Having said that, it would be a bit anticlimactic for Windows Insiders to get access to the Autumn Update builds this early.
Got to let the feeling sink in!
Best taken with a pinch of salt this report, but this much is clear that we are nearing the end of development of the core version of Windows 10.
