Edge branding is already in internal builds
« on: June 09, 2015, 05:23:02 PM »
Microsoft Edge branding is already present in internal builds of Windows 10 and will be coming to insider builds in the relatively near future. While we’ve known the name of the new browser for months, it’s branded under its previous codename “Spartan” in every public and leaked build that we’ve seen.

Microsoft’s Gabe Aul explained that the branding has already changed in internal builds and will change for insiders in a couple builds.

With the RTM version of Windows being finalized and the public release on July 29th, Microsoft is tying up any loose ends including correct branding and logos.

Microsoft’s new browser is shaping up to be a formidable browser. It has speed benchmarks better than Chrome, Firefox, and IE11, will eventually support Chrome and Firefox extensions, will give users the ability to annotate webpages, integrates with Cortana, and has a variety of other features to make it a more modern browser.
