in Windows 10 are getting a sleek new look. At least the clock and date flyout in the operating system is now transparent, as shown in this Windows 10 build 10147 screenshot.
This version leaked from China yesterday, and Microsoft has added a number of subtle tweaks to desktop in this build. Actually when you think about it, transparency is pretty much the best visual effect Redmond can add to the upcoming OS at this stage.
Particularly when you consider just how many users have requested this.
Anyway, here’s the screenshot:

Looks like the same transparency effect that’s part of the Start Menu in Windows 10, the same blur effect is also employed here. And it looks great, actually.
What’s even more interesting is that the flyout can be customized with accent colors that can be chosen in the personalization screen — so you can practically add any color you want here and make it match the overall look of the operating system that you have going.
The clock is digital this time around, and some people will definitely prefer the classic analog design.
Then again, this is something that can be achieved using registry hacks.
No harm, no foul kind of thing.
