Google Chrome Not Working In Windows 10 Build 10525, They Say
« on: August 20, 2015, 08:04:23 PM »
Microsoft released Windows 10 build 10525 to Insiders a day or so ago, and this new version was deployed by a large number of users that wanted to get their hands on the latest improvements included in the platform.

Improvement, and apparently, some incompatibilities too.

This being a preview build, it’s only natural to expect bugs and performance issues — Microsoft itself confirms that there are a number of known issues in this preview build. As has been the case with most other versions of the preview.

And users seem to have discovered another one.

As it turns out, Google Chrome does not work in Windows 10 build 10525, and this has been confirmed by several users that the browser crashes once this newest build is installed.

They have even submitted a bug report to Google, so hopefully this problem does not take long to be fixed by the associated parties. Either Microsoft or Google, the developer of the web browser. Microsoft, most probably.

Now while there is a way to get Chrome to work in build 10525, it’s not something that’s recommended for general users.

For this, the web browser has to be started with the –no-sandbox flag, but then again, this is something that could affect the stability and security of the application. Without this, the browser simply crashes, fails to load webpages, and all plugins crash too.

Do keep in mind that this problem does not affect all PCs, but it is somewhat widespread.
