Windows 10 Redstone 2 Build 14955 On The Radar
« on: October 25, 2016, 05:33:59 AM »
Early intel. Looks like Microsoft is preparing Windows 10 Redstone 2 build 14955 for launch this week, despite the fact the company is holding a hardware event on Wednesday.

One that could give us the Surface AIO.

Anyway, this doesn’t mean that the Windows team is not working on getting new builds ready for Insiders to test and provide feedback on. And according to some leaked details, a new one is already in the pipeline.

A screenshot has been posted that shows Windows 10 Redstone 2 build 14955 being available in Windows Update — which is probably an indication that Redmond is testing this release internally.

And provided everything goes right, the company could roll it out to the Fast ring channel of the Windows Insider Program in a few days from now.

Here is the screenshot:

Now, as usual, it is too early to discuss what changes and improvements that this new release might bring, but as is so often the case, we can expect this version to be more stable and includes a bunch of fixes for issues that testers and users have reported to Microsoft.

Redstone 2, the next refresh of the OS in question is projected to launch in the spring of 2017, and with that in mind, new features and options are coming in hard and fast in these preview builds.

Nothing overly major — but they will certainly be here once development progresses.

For now, let’s see whether build 14955 becomes reality or not.
