XP-More Freeware
« on: May 01, 2010, 08:44:26 PM »
Creating new VMs and managing their settings is already dead-simple in Windows 7, but duplicating a machine isn't as straightforward as simple as doing a copy and paste in your Virtual Machines folder. XP-More streamlines things by creating both the .vmcx and .vhd files. The settings and create buttons launch Windows 7's built-in tools.

If you don't have the XP Mode or Virtual PC installers, you can download them over at Softpedia

without having to go through Microsoft's validation process.

Got another handy tool for working with Windows 7's built-in virtualization features? Share it with us!

I was looking at this XP-More program the other day.
I need to run SonicStage which is a Sony product and I HAVE to use it with my HiMDs (minidiscs).
Trouble is SS won't work with Win 7x64 - and Sony couldn't care less.
The only answer is to use a Virtual VM set up and run as XP SP3.
I confess that I am at a loss to understand this Virtual function.
I hope there is some guidance how to use VM and XP-More - the site help was useless.
Thanks,

Thank you very much for the tool. I created a duplicate XPmode very easily, even driven, I opened the copy on the desktop.  ;)
