The Special Keyboard for Chrome OS Laptops
« on: December 07, 2010, 03:38:14 AM »

Google has confirmed that it's going to reveal the first Chrome OS netbook tomorrow, but here we have a picture of what purports to be the keyboard that the laptop is going to incorporate.

Obtained by Engadget, the leaked picture is said to be from a presentation by ODM Inventec. Though the chiclet keyboard doesn't bear any Chrome OS branding, it does have some unique keys that suggest it was designed for a notebook with a web-based OS, such as the dedicated search key.

Bolstering confidence that this is the keyboard all Chrome OS laptops will use, Engadget has a second image of the keyboard on another machine. This one shows Acer's Chome netbook, also known as the ZGA, sporting the same keyboard with a search key in place of the caps lock key, along with forward, back, full screen and a couple of other custom keys.

Stay tuned for more on the Chrome OS netbook when Google reveals all tomorrow!
