should i continue the list?
this is a incomplete list :
win7 should have in addition to the actual features:
-all adobe activex plugins already included,icluding the obviously missing flash.ocx
-some freeware utilities for system maintenance(and remove the actual built-in ones  that are not that accurate)
-all codecs ...media player dosen't play anything so i don't use it
it looks great in win7 ,but it is not a powerful player
...............................

His list definitely makes sense, although that last one (Virtual drive mounting) should only be a Business/Ultimate feature, most standard Home users won't be doing that.

So it needs:

-PDF support (replace Adobe Reader)
-Most common codecs (Replace Quicktime, keep codec packs around for less common formats)
-Decompression/compression utilities (Replace 7zip)
-Advanced deletion utility
-Native blu-ray support
-More ability to add/remove unneeded components (touch screen stuff is installed no matter what)
-Alternative browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc.)
-Some kind of password manager
-Cleaning utilities (registry, empty folders, duplicate files, broken shortcuts, etc.)
-Flash support
-Out-of-box Java support
-Ability to mount/use virtual machines (might be already included)
-Unused driver removal

And maybe a universal IM client (Pidgin is currently a great one).

i wonder if microsft is planning on adding these features into win7... i personally don't mind if win7 dvd will be 8 Gb on size,but i really expect that microsoft would try to repair the mistake that they have done with vista by including junk utilities that use a lot of resources if not tweaked.but they are going to think twice now for adding utilies and features like the ones mentioned in this topic in win7...they don't want to mess up again
